During the lockdown in India, Pubg was the most played game among various online games.

• Around 22 lakh of our population played this game.
• According to the numbers, it is far ahead of the second most popular game.

Indians have a very clear choice about gaming during the lockdown period due to COVID-19, that's why PUBG was at such hike. Pubg is an online shooting game, in which 100 players land on a battleground at different places and they fight with each other with weapons. The last man alive wins the match.

Nowadays people like online gaming over offline gaming. During the lockdown, peoples were entertaining themselves by playing video games.

The game at the second position was Minecraft with around 8.2 lack people of our population. Other popular online games on the list include Fortnite, League of Legends, Counter-strike, World of Warcraft, and Clash of Clan.

Talking about the numbers, about 8 lacks people played Fortnite, 1.5 lacks played League of Legends, and the same with Counter-Strike, 1.1 lacks played Clash of Clan.

MPL (Mobile Premier League) was also raised to 406% in search engines in the same period. Search for the Gaming console was also at the spike in popularity. Nintendo Switch was the most popular searched console followed by Xbox and PS4 with approximately similar amount of searches.

According to Nielsen, 44% of a week people spent while playing online games. This time has been gradually increasing from the month of March when the lockdown was imposed.
