Zoom at a Glance: ..

Zoom is a video conference app. It can connect desktop user and mobile app user together at a time. It gives the facility to record the meeting, share the project/screen to all client, all it`s facility is very easy to use. It is available on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, Blackberry etc.

The Host (one who organize the meeting) would receive a meeting ID and meeting Password. Now anyone can connect the meeting through its ID and Password. And that`s it!! You are in..!

Limitation of Zoom..

Zoom allow free basic full-feature. If the participants are 3 or less than 3 then you can continue your meeting as per your requirement (time). But if participant is more than 3 then every meeting last only for 40 min. Only 100 participants are allowed in a meeting.

Is it safe??

There are a lot of controversy on safety of zoom app. But even then you can use this with a little precaution.

• For every meeting create a new meeting ID and password.
• Make a strong password.
• Don`t forget to lock the meeting.
• Create a waiting room, so that who wants to enter the meeting needs permission of host.
• On your web-cam only when needed.
• Close all the background app or program while using zoom app.
• Try not to record meeting.
• Keep your app updated, because it is working on its security regularly.
• Try not to share any file. If needed use whats app for this.
• To end the meeting don`t just leave. End the meeting properly.

What are alternate options of zoom app?

1.) Cisco Webex Meetings: 

It is also offering free access to web meetings, with a limitation of 100 participants at a time in a single meeting. All you need is to sign up on the WEBEX app and get start with the meeting. Users are limited as compare to zoom.

One advantage here over Zoom app is that you can continue your meeting as long as you want.

2.) Google Meet:

The Google has made free version of Google Meet (previously named Google Hangout Meet) as a alternate option of Zoom app. If you are looking for alternate app then you must you it at once. But again it is free so it has some limitations:

• Time is limited for 60 minutes.
• Only the person who has google account can join the meeting.
• Only 100 participants are allowed.

This can be on of the best option for a web meeting.

3.) Go To Meeting

This also a web-meeting app. You can access all full-feature mode for free, but only for 14 days after which you have to pay money.

You can register through your E-mail Id. Every fresh E-mail Id has 14 days free trail without advance payment. There is no time limit for 14 days. But of-course there a limit of 100 participants only.
